The builders are having their first day in the house! I’m beyond excited. I will spend a lot of time, ripping off wallpaper, helping where I can. I also plan to make hearty lunches and cinnamon buns for these wonderful working builders.
I’ve fallen in love with the colours from Farrow & Ball, and we have picked out a few for our rooms. Not an easy process, but I think we got there in the end. With white dado rails and original skirting boards and coving it’ll look oh so lovely. We’ll put up ceiling roses too. Ah..
Whaddaya think?
Bone no. 15 for the living room:
Stoney Ground no. 211 for the kitchen
Cream no. 44 for the main bedroom
Light Blue no. 22 for the guest room
Pavilion Grey no. 242 for the study
Here comes the before pictures! I will update you on the progress, and add new photos as we get further into this all-consuming process. This art nouveau fireplace reproduction is for sale if you’re in Cardiff and want to come pick it up. We’re replacing it with an effective and traditional woodburner.

Oh my, how exciting! Your chosen colors look absolutely luscious. I am already imagining how your green thumb will transform that sweet back yard. Best of luck to you!
Thank you Gayle! I’ve got the garden planned already. Can’t wait to start on it!
It already has you written al over it… and that back garden is going to be so sweet. I am so excited for you!
The back garden will be an overgrown secret garden full of veggies and fragrant flowers! I’m excited!
Those colours are beautiful, warm and soft and welcoming. Perfect for little splashes of Turid here and there.
We hope they’ll look wonderful once they’re painted on.
It’s all amazing and wonderful! So happy for you! Can’t wait to see what you create there in your new home! Yay!!!!
